The Signal and Image Processing Letters (SIMPLE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, online journal of applied research in the field of Signal and Image Processing. It is designed to provide rapid dissemination of original, cutting-edge ideas and timely, significant contributions in signal, image,  video, speech, language, and audio processing. It is published three times a year, published in periods of January-April, May-August and July-December in electronic format with free online access. Submitted papers must be written in English for an initial review stage by editors and a further review process by a minimum of two international reviewers.

These topics are addressed in full-length academic articles, critical statements on current issues, developmental practice, and reviews of books based on signal and image processing. The purpose of the journal is to publish original and high-quality research papers in the field of signal and image processing. The journal presents an innovative platform for researchers, students, practitioners, and educators to both learn from and contribute to the field. All articles are subject to initial Editor screening and then a rigorous double-blind peer-review process before publication.

Finally, accepted and published papers will be freely accessed on this website and the following abstracting & indexing databases:
The journal invites original, significant, and rigorous inquiry into all subjects within or across disciplines related to signal processing and image processing. It encourages debate and cross-disciplinary exchange across a broad range of approaches.

Signal and Image Processing Letters (SIMPLE) publishes carefully refereed research, review and survey papers that offer a significant contribution to signal and image processing, and which are of interest to a wide audience. Coverage extends to all mainstream branches of signal processing, image processing, and related applications.
